City Corps Staff Briefing
Area 26 - Military Schools and Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC)
Chicago Public Schools

The Pritzker Military Library was honored to be the site for the 2009 City Corps Staff Briefing, outlining the mission, goals and accomplishments of Chicago's JROTC Cadet Corps. Attending and receiving the briefing were Medal of Honor Recipient Paul W. Bucha, COL James N. Pritzker IL ARNG (Ret.), founder and president of the Pritzker Military Library, Edward C. Tracy, executive director, Tawani Foundation; William Powell, president, Assoc. of the United States Army, and Ryan Yantis, executive director, Pritzker Military Library. The host for the evening was Rick Mills, Military Area Officer for Military Academies and JROTC for Chicago Public Schools.

The City Corps Staff is the only Joint (All Services – Army, Marine, Navy and Air Force) JROTC Cadet Chain of Command in the country. It is comprised of 20 Chicago JROTC Cadets from a number of different schools, who have undergone a comprehensive three phase competitive selection process.

The City Corps Staff represents the best and the brightest of more than 11,000 Cadets in the Military Area Office's Academies and JROTC Programs. They are a great credit to our Public Schools and the City of Chicago.
