Prior to coming to the Pritzker Military Library, Olivia Button was a cataloging assistant for Follett Media Distribution and worked in the Digital Imaging Department for an online university. She also interned at the Neville Museum where she worked on several projects in the photo library and archives.

A Wisconsin native, Olivia graduated from University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, earning a B.A. in History and Humanistic Studies.
